Abbey Park Extravaganza!

Sunday August 25th

Bakerlu brings a pop up Victorian style tea room for the Victorian day of this 2 day festival…think Victoria Sponge, Scones with Clotted Cream, stripey bags of traditional sweets.

Abbey Park ends the City Festival with a Medieval and Victorian family fun bank holiday Extravaganza! Leicester University and Heritage Parks brings to life the Victorian Gardens and Abbey ruins with medieval sports, Alice in Wonderland giant games, circus, puppetry, magic, photo booths, face painting and the Monks Murder Mystery 'Who killed Cardinal Wosley!' plus much more! Come join us for a Victorian Day to remember on 25th August 2019 for the first day of our celebration! this FREE event is fantastic for families and spans over two days.

Bakerlu returns with her chuckaboo’s to bring you some classic Victorian treats in this vintage style pop up tearoom in the most quirky event Leicester has each year, not to be missed!

Victoria Park sees the return of a family fun day race event with a twist! Leicester University and Heritage Parks are supporting the Victorian 'Raucous Races' on 14th September 2019. Come join in all sorts of games and frollicks! Featuring Horsey Hopper racing, Magic, photo booths, giant board games, live music, face painting, Victorian tearooms, Richard III himself and much more! This FREE event is fantastic for families!
